Serioja is a crazy vagabond, a wanderer thief, and a rootless drifter lost amongst the trecherous Slums of Caihong City. Known for his bubbly and cheerful personality, his childish demeanour and his blue eyes that reveal a Russian ancestry, Serioja seduces and steals to survive. His physique and brain have been severly damaged by both his fear of succumbing to a deeper sleep than NREM Stage 1 as well as by the neurotoxic drugs he keeps taking in order to alleviate the symptoms of his horrifying condition - The Devil's Headache. This rare condition is also known as "the worst pain known to man" - a splitting headache that feels like a hammer drilling inside your skull and can last anywhere from 10 minutes to 2 hours. Serioja grows and dries his own hallucinogenic herbs and eats them regurarly in order to rarify the apparitions of these attacks. 

 

For the past 12 years he has been looking desperately for the one he calls Kurupuru - a girl wearing a giant unicorn mask. However, since Caihong City's territory is unmappable and the Slums have expanded in chaotic and detrimental ways, he has been unable to keep track of her and more often than not ended up getting lost. He believes all he needs to find her is... a map. And when he sees a young man in a wheelchair at the Renmin Square holding what looks like a perfect map of Caihong City, he follows him home hoping to get this map for himself...
