An ambitious self-made entrepeneur, The Bunny Hat Man manages and operates the Picture Palace in Sektor Sosegado. From distributing tickets, to testing viewers for their levels of serotonin (the unfailable barometer by which one gets to watch a film) to being the curator and projectionist of this old establishment, the Bunny Hat Man does about everything. An anti-establishment activist, the Bunny Hat Man became a leading figure of the Anti-Sertra-X Renaissance and was backed up by a self-appointed syndicate who deemed Sertra-X illegal in Sektor Sosegado. His credo: Sertra-X is but a tool of Furui City to control people of the Slums by promising an eliixir and giving the idea of a false solution. 

 

The Bunny Hat Man intially worked as a Broadcaster for the Caihong City NEWS channel but as Furui City banned all live signals and broadcasts, he re-assigned the Picture Palace into an avant-garde experimental moving pictures venue. 

 

Since tickets are distributed freely to those with low serotonin levels as the long 8 to 10 hour experimental pictures are said to have anti-depressant properties, Bunny Hat Man lives in gloomy poverty, Malnourished and perpetually wired, he volunteers his time for a passion he truly believes in. His wearing of a "bunny hat" is ostentatious gesture towards Furui City's ban of rabbit symbols after a mysterious and obscene graffiti appeared on the dome one day - THE DAY OF THE OBSCENE RABBIT. 

 

His random encounter with Liu Junjie, Serioja and Lavinia has repercussions well beyond what the four can imagine...
